Our Work

As more of us live longer, we have an exciting opportunity to rethink the future of our communities.

Our Mission

To champion informed and positive aging and serve as the area’s catalyst for collaborative solutions.

Our Vision

A community where the wisdom, knowledge, skills, and experience of older adults and caregivers are respected and valued, and where helpful resources, support, and information are readily available and easily accessible.

Our Values

At AgeWell Middle Tennessee, we are passionate about reframing aging and addressing unmet needs by being a trusted community resource, a convener and catalyst for solutions, and a champion and advocate for older adults and family caregivers.

As a nonprofit organization serving 13 counties in Middle Tennessee, we believe in aging well and are committed to reframing aging and creating inclusive communities where older adults are valued and connected to the people and places that foster active living and bring meaning to life. We value family caregivers and believe they deserve unbiased information, guidance, and support as they care for aging loved ones.

There is much work to be done as we dream and shape what it means to “age well” and to that end, we commit to foster and promote inclusive communities. Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a core value that undergirds our infrastructure and programs, and we believe this encompasses representation, access, and belonging. We commit ourselves to increasing diversity on our board, staff, and committees, and to ensuring that we are intentional in our outreach, engagement, and advocacy.

As a convener and catalyst agency, we live out our mission through collaboration. In addition, to project-specific workgroups and coalitions, we engage and foster collaboration through our Leadership Council, Legislative / Advocacy Committee, Middle TN Elder Watch, and the TN Coalition for Better Aging.
