AgeWell welcomes interest in serving on our Board of Directors. Our board includes a mix of working professionals and retired community volunteers who are passionate about helping Middle Tennesseans age well. Board members attend six board meetings a year along with the Sage Awards, and are encouraged to volunteer on a committee. Nominations are considered on an ongoing basis by our Board Governance committee, and you can learn more about our current board members on the About Us - Our Team page.

If you enjoy helping with community events and health fairs, the AgeWell Community Outreach Team would love to talk with you.
You can help us with booths at health fairs and other community events, handing out AgeWell directories, guidebooks and scam prevention brochures.
Events are throughout the year.
-
If you’re interested in government policy and advocacy, our Legislative/Advocacy Committee meets throughout the year to discuss current issues, communicate with state and local leaders and share calls to action.
We advocate for and with older adults and family caregivers to enhance our community and support positive aging.
Meetings are held four to six times per year.

AgeWell has an annual fundraising luncheon called the Sage Awards where we honor outstanding older adults for lifelong community service, along with organizations that make a significant difference in the lives of older adults in Middle Tennessee. If you enjoy planning events & want to support our mission by serving on the Sage Awards committee, please let us know. Meetings are held throughout the year, and the luncheon is held in October or November.

AgeWell is looking for both experienced and novice individuals willing to be trained to speak to small groups throughout the community.
Help us share important information about aging issues with older adults and their caregivers, using prepared AgeWell presentations on topics like caregiving, community resources, safety in the home, scams affecting older adults, and other related topics.
