April 7, 2026 - Waymo launches autonomous ride service in Nashville
Grace Sutherland Smith, executive director of AgeWell Middle Tennessee, said the service could help older adults stay connected.
“We really think Waymo is an opportunity for older adults to embrace new technology and new ways of getting around,” Smith said. “It’s so important as we grow older to stay connected to the community and transportation is a key to that. We are excited about Waymo being an option for the older adults we serve.”
